The CFASI Forecast Dinner 2025 in Milan once again proved to be an essential gathering for professionals interested in global financial markets. With over 200 guests, the evening offered a valuable opportunity to discuss the Global Outlook & Markets View 2025 in a dynamic and engaging setting.
Moderated by Morya Longo of Il Sole 24 Ore, the discussion featured expert insights on key trends shaping the financial landscape. CFASI President Giuliano Palumbo, CFA, played a key role in bringing together market professionals and fostering meaningful exchanges.
A big thank you for their valuable contributions to our speakers - Ariel Bezalel, Investment Manager, Fixed Income - Jupiter Asset Management; Antonio Cesarano, Chief Global Strategist - Intermonte SIM; Henrietta Pacquement, CFA - Senior Portfolio Manager & Head of Sustainability - Allspring; Luca Simoncelli, Investment Strategist - Invesco; Marco Valli, Chief Economist - UniCredit.
For their support in making this event possible, we also would like to thank our sponsors: Invesco, Jupiter Asset Management, and Allspring.
During the evening, we also had the possibility to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the “CFASI - Radiocor Sentiment Index”, with the presentation of a study conducted by the Polytechnic University of Marche, which examines the index and its applications, recognizing its significant predictive value. As the paper shows, our Sentiment Index not only anticipates the movement of the BTP/Bund spread (the index shows that an improvement in sentiment correlates with a reduction in the spread, reflecting increased market confidence in Italy’s economic and financial stability), it also has a strong correlation with Purchasing Managers’ Index (PMI) growth rates, confirming its effectiveness in predicting short-term economic trends, and anticipates movements in major financial indicators such as the Eurostoxx 50 and the DAX, further reinforcing its practical utility.
Next stop: Rome! We look forward to continuing the conversation at our upcoming event.
