Giuliano Palumbo

CFA - President - CFA Society Italy

Giuliano Palumbo is President of CFA Society Italy and he is responsible for the global fixed income strategies at Euromobiliare Asset Management. With over fifteen years of portfolio management experience, he previously worked in Arca SGR as Head of emerging markets desk. Prior to that, he was a Quantitative Analyst at Pioneer Investments in Dublin. Giuliano graduated in Economics from University of Naples and holds a Master in Economics and Finance. He was awarded with the Chartered Financial Analyst designation in 2009. He previously served as Treasurer and then as Secretary of the Board of Directors at CFA Society Italy.

Partner and Director - MangustaRisk

Partner and Director of MangustaRisk since 2003. Holds a degree with honors in Statistic and Economic Sciences, with specialization in mathematical models for financial markets. She has then completed her studies in the financial/actuarial field. Former Hedge Funds Portfolio Manager for Meliorbanca, Market Risk Manager in Lazard Brothers and Credit Risk Analyst for the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. In MangustaRisk, she leads the creation and incrementation of mathematical models for: 1) pricing of assets and liabilities in an ALM perspective, models of integrated management of assets and liabilities; 2) hedging portfolio designs for LDI models; 3) funds (UCITIS and AIF) and asset manager’s selection and monitoring; 4) performance and risk models for analysis and monitoring of portfolio of welfare funds; pension funds; sanitary funds; non-profit organizations.

President of the Board - IOR

Jean-Baptiste de Franssu is the President of the Board of l'Istituto per le Opere di Religione (IOR) or the Vatican bank since July 2014. Along with the board and the executive team he has led the bank through a complete transformation of its structure and its operation including the introduction of a faith consistent investment process for all its asset management activities. He is vice-chairman of Groupe La Française S.A, an asset management company that manages Euro 150 bn, chair its audit and risk committee and is a member of its HR and remuneration committee. He is a board member of the French press group Bayard.He also sit on the board of some leading european family offices in Belgium and Italy. Jean-Baptiste is a member of the board of the foundation of the French catholic TV KTO. In 2023 he became the chair of the board of the ITI ,the International Theological Institute and Catholic university of Austria. In 2024 he was name chair of the board of the Collège des Bernardin, the most prestigious catholic faculty and cultural center in France

Chief Investment Officer and Co-founder - Andromeda Capital Management

Alberto Gallo is Chief Investment Officer and Co-founder at Andromeda Capital Management. Prior to that, Alberto initiated and ran the Global Credit Opportunities fund at Algebris Investments (2016-2022). Previously he ran macro credit research at RBS in London (2011-2016), and served in senior research roles at Goldman Sachs in New York (2008-2011), Bear Stearns in New York and London (2007-2008) and Merrill Lynch in London (2004-2007). Alberto is a CFA charterholder. He earned an MSc in Economics two years ahead of the norm, cum laude, from Bocconi University (2004), where he is now a guest professor in macroeconomics, at the SDA Bocconi School of Management. He has served on the ECB working group for financial stability for nearly ten years. He previously served in the Navy at the “F. Morosini” Naval Academy in Venice, Italy, where he led the 1997-2000 cadet class and was a national track & field athlete.

Investment Director, Fixed Income - Jupiter Asset Management

Valerio joined Jupiter in 2022 and is an Investment Director in the Fixed Income team. Before joining Jupiter, Valerio worked for PIMCO, in the EMEA Global Wealth Management Sales team looking after distribution, wholesale and sub-advisory clients, predominantly invested in fixed income and multi-asset strategies. He has 5 years of investment experience and previously worked at Commerzbank in Cross -Asset Structured Products Sales and completed internships at JP Morgan and GAM. Valerio is a CFA charter holder and holds a degree in Business Economics and a Master of Science in Finance.

Piergiacomo is Director of Research at Wisdomtree. He has over 30 years of experience within the financial services industry, having served as the Head of Discretionary Portfolio Management at Banca Albertini Spa in Milan before joining WisdomTree. Prior to this, he held roles at Rasbank Spa (currently AllianzBank Financial Advisors) as Head of Equity Research and Head of Equity Desk. Piergiacomo has an M.Sc. in Financial Markets Economics from Bocconi University in Milan. He is also a chartered member of the Aiaf (Italian Association of Financial Analysts).

Manuel Pozzi

Investment Director - M&G Investments Italia

Investment director for the Italian market, with a focus on macro economic and financial markets themes and portfolio analysis, working with Multi-Assets, Fixed Icnome and Equity teams. Before joining M&G in 2011, worked more than 10 years as Fixed income and multi-asset portfolio manager in Banca Passadore and Banco Desio. Manuel graduated Bocconi University in Economics.

Senior Analyst - Eurasia Group

Federico Santi is a Senior Analyst at the Eurasia Group, a New York-based political risk advisory firm that helps clients across all segments of the financial sector navigate political uncertainty. He focuses on Southern Europe and EU economic governance. Earlier in his career, Federico worked at the European Commission, the National Bureau of Economic Research, the US International Development Finance Corporation, EU Delegation to the United States, and the US Senate. He holds a master's degree in international affairs and economics from George Washington University and a bachelor's degree in international relations from the University of Bologna.
