CFA Society Italy is glad to announce two upcoming courses designed to deepen your understanding of financial products and enhance your investment strategies. These events offer valuable insights for both seasoned professionals and those looking to expand their knowledge, while also qualifying for Professional Learning credits under CFA Institute guidelines.
The first course, titled “Introduzione ai Certificati: Protezione e Rendimento,” will take place on November 19, 2024, from 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM. Led by Giovanna Zanotti, Director of ACEPI and Professor at the University of Bergamo, this session offers a detailed introduction to certificates as structured financial products. Attendees will explore the asymmetric behavior of certificates compared to their underlying assets, and discover how these products can be employed to protect portfolios, especially during bear markets. The course will delve into practical use cases and highlight the potential for certificates to deliver both protection and returns in uncertain economic environments. Accredited by CFA Society Italy, this session offers 3 PL credits for participants.
The second event, “Certificate Day 2024,” is a free webinar scheduled for November 12, 2024, from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. This interactive session will feature presentations by industry experts on the use of certificates in a declining interest rate environment. The event will provide insights into current trends in both the primary and secondary markets for certificates and cover practical strategies for optimizing portfolios. In addition to discussing the opportunities and challenges certificates present in today’s financial landscape, it will also provide actionable steps for incorporating certificates into diverse investment strategies while managing associated risks. Attendees of this event will also earn 3 PL credits.
CFA Society Italy has determined that both programs qualify for PL credit hours under the CFA Institute Professional Learning program. If you are a CFA Institute member, you can self-report PL credits through the CFA Institute’s PL tracking tool via your account. One credit hour is equivalent to one hour (60 minutes) of educational activity.
