CFA Society Italy - Radiocor Financial Business Survey - March 2024

The survey was carried out by CFA Society Italy, in collaboration with Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor, among its members in the period 19 - 29 February 2024. 

Approximately two-thirds of the respondents consider the current situation of the Italian economy to be stable, about 4% see the Italian economy in a positive condition, while 30% believe there is still a negative dynamic.

In terms of expectations for the next six months, 30.4% of respondents expect an improvement in macroeconomic conditions (+11.9 points compared to last month), a further 30.4% estimate unchanged conditions (-14% compared to the last survey) and 39.1% expect a worsening (+2.1 points compared to last month). The difference between those who are optimistic about the outlook for the Italian economy compared to pessimists is -8.7, the value that represents the “CFA Society Italy - Radiocor Sentiment Index” for March 2024. Although still at negative levels, the figure is still rising (+9.8 points compared to the beginning of February), continuing the upward trend towards neutrality.

Expectations for the next six months for the Eurozone and the USA also remain negative, with the latter worse than last month.
