Giuliano Palumbo

CFA, President - CFA Society Italy

Giuliano Palumbo is President of CFA Society Italy and he is responsible for the global fixed income strategies at Euromobiliare Asset Management. With over fifteen years of portfolio management experience, he previously worked in Arca SGR as Head of emerging markets desk. Prior to that, he was a Quantitative Analyst at Pioneer Investments in Dublin. Giuliano graduated in Economics from University of Naples and holds a Master in Economics and Finance. He was awarded with the Chartered Financial Analyst designation in 2009. He previously served as Treasurer and then as Secretary of the Board of Directors at CFA Society Italy.

Chief Investment Officer and Co-founder - Andromeda Capital Management

Alberto Gallo is Chief Investment Officer and Co-founder at Andromeda Capital Management. Prior to that, Alberto initiated and ran the Global Credit Opportunities fund at Algebris Investments (2016-2022). Previously he ran macro credit research at RBS in London (2011-2016), and served in senior research roles at Goldman Sachs in New York (2008-2011), Bear Stearns in New York and London (2007-2008) and Merrill Lynch in London (2004-2007). Alberto is a CFA charterholder. He earned an MSc in Economics two years ahead of the norm, cum laude, from Bocconi University (2004), where he is now a guest professor in macroeconomics, at the SDA Bocconi School of Management. He has served on the ECB working group for financial stability for nearly ten years. He previously served in the Navy at the “F. Morosini” Naval Academy in Venice, Italy, where he led the 1997-2000 cadet class and was a national track & field athlete.

Emilio Franco is Chief Executive Officer at Mediobanca SGR, the Italian Asset Management Firm of Mediobanca Group, that offers a wide range of investment solutions diversified and dynamic: mandates for institutional clients, open-end funds, closed-end funds, delegated management of SICAV funds and Discretionary Investment Management. He is Board Member at CMG, the Monegasque asset management company of Mediobanca Group. Emilio has been working in the asset management sector for the last 30 years. He joined Mediobanca SGR in October 2017. He worked 10 years for UBI Pramerica (a 60 bln AUM company, formerly a JV between UBI Banca and Prudential Financial of US now merged into Eurizon), where He was Deputy General Manager & Chief Investment Officer, with responsibility for investment strategies but also actively developing products and technologies to support the investment process, and commercial developing business with institutional and private clients. Before, he worked almost 9 tears for Eurizon Capital (San Paolo Asset Management, the Italian leading asset manager) where He held a variety of positions, ranging from Chief Fund manager of the European and Global equity funds to Head of the Equity Research Team, and thereafter He became Head of Equity. He started his career working for Arca, first as financial analyst and then as fund manager and Co-Head of the Italian Equity Team. Emilio is member of the Corporate Governance Committee for Assogestioni (the Italian association of investment management firms) and former Chairman of the “Comitato dei Gestori”, in charge of selecting candidates as independent board members and Auditors for the minority slates of Italian listed companies. Emilio graduated in Economics magna cum laude at Bocconi University in Milan. He is a qualified chartered accountant and a CFA® charterholder. Before joining the asset management industry, He served as an Officer for Arma dei Carabinieri.

Fabiana Fedeli is Chief Investment Officer Equities, Multi Asset and Sustainability at M&G Investments. She is a member of the Executive Committee of M&G Investments (Asset Management) and leads a team of investment professionals based in the UK, Continental Europe, the US and Asia, deploying approx. €80bn globally across multiple geographies and asset classes. Prior to joining M&G Investments, Ms. Fedeli served as Global Head of Fundamental Equities and Emerging Markets Equities Portfolio Manager at Robeco. Prior to joining Robeco, she was a Portfolio Manager Asian Equities at Pioneer Asset Management, and a Partner and Portfolio Manager at Occam Asset Management. Ms. Fedeli began her career at ING Barings Tokyo as a Research Analyst in Japanese equities in 1999. Ms. Fedeli holds a Master's in Economics from Hitotsubashi University in Tokyo and a Bachelor's in Economic and Social Sciences from Bocconi University in Milan. She also received a Certificate in Financial Asset Management and Engineering from the University of Lausanne, Swiss Finance Institute, in Lausanne, Switzerland. Ms. Fedeli is Vice Chair of the Investment Committee of The Investment Association, a trade body representing Investment Managers in the UK that collectively manage over £10 trillion in assets. She is also a member of the Investment Committee of UK-based The Open University. Ms. Fedeli is also a non-executive director of Relmada Therapeutics (Nasdaq: RLMD), a late-stage biotechnology company. Ms. Fedeli has been named among Financial News’ 100 Most Influential Women in Finance, and she was awarded the ‘Excellence in Asset Management’ honour at the European Women in Finance Awards.

Partner, Investment Principal and Head of Asset Management - Sosteneo

Federica is Partner, Investment Principal and Head of Asset Management, responsible for the overall management of investments in projects from deal sourcing through to exit, with a particular focus on origination as well as ongoing asset management. Federica has over two decades of experience in the energy industry and finance sector encompassing origination, asset management, M&A, business development, and project finance. Most recently, Federica was country head for Italy at Cero Generation, the solar development platform of Green Investment Group (GIG). Prior to this role, she held senior positions at ContourGlobal, Quercus Investment Partners, Antin Solar Investments, Absolute Energy Capital, and Deutsche Bank, the latter of which included three years based in London. Federica began her career in project finance at RBS and Edison. She has extensive experience across multiple renewable energy sectors including solar PV, wind, and biomass. Federica holds a Bachelor of Economics from Bocconi University, Milan.

Kevin Thozet is a Member of the Investment Committee. Kevin joined Carmignac in 2019. After starting his career at Axa Investment Managers, he joined Edmond de Rothschild Asset Management in 2011 where he was notably Product Specialist covering Asset Allocation & Sovereign debt portfolios and then Head of Product Specialists. Kevin holds a Master’s degree in management from Paris Dauphine University as well as Master’s degree in bilingual journalism from the Paris Sorbonne University.
