Thirty-two (32) members of CFA Society Italy attended the survey carried out by CFA Society Italy in collaboration with Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor between 19 and 30 September 2023.
54% of the professionals attending the survey consider the current economic situation of our Country to be stable while about 43% have a negative view on the Italian economy; the remaining 3.6% predicts a positive situation.
In terms of expectations over the next six months, 3.6% of the interviewees expect an improvement in macroeconomic conditions (-5.5 points compared to the previous month), 17.9% of the interviewed members estimate unchanged conditions (-9.4% compared to the previous survey), and 78.6% expect a worsening (+14.9 points compared to the previous month). The difference between those who are optimistic about the prospects of the Italian economy compared to the pessimists is equal to -75, a value that represents the “CFA Society Italy - Radiocor Sentiment Index” for the month of October 2023. The data confirms the trend reversal that has already been highlighted since last month, falling further compared to previous findings and recording a new absolute minimum in the historical series since January 2015.
