The May survey, carried out by CFA Society Italy in collaboration with Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor, was attended by 32 members of CFA Society Italy, between 19 and 30 April 2023. Two-thirds of participants believe that the current economic situation of our country is stable, while around 31% consider the Italian economy negatively (data worsening overall compared to the previous survey).
In terms of expectations for the next six months, 3.1% of the respondents expect an improvement in macroeconomic conditions (down 11 points from last month) 37.5% estimate unchanged conditions (+6% compared to the previous survey) and 59.4% expect worsening conditions (+5% compared to last month). The difference between those who are optimistic about the prospects of the Italian economy and the pessimists is equal to -56.3, a value that represents the "CFA Society Italy - Radiocor Sentiment Index" for the month of May 2023. The figure decreases by 16 points compared to the previous survey.
