The monthly survey, carried out by CFA Society Italy in collaboration with Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor, was attended by 34 CFA® professionals and members of the Italian society, between 19 and 31 December 2022.
In terms of expectations for the next six months, 17.6% of the interviewees expect an improvement in macroeconomic conditions (+3.4% compared to last month), 14.7% estimate unchanged conditions (-13.9% compared to the survey published at the beginning of December) and 67.6% expect a worsening (+10.5% compared to last month). The difference between those who are optimistic about the prospects of the Italian economy, compared to the pessimists is equal to -50, a value that represents the "CFA Society Italy - Radiocor Sentiment Index" for the month of January 2023. The value therefore remains largely negative but far from the absolute lows of August 2022 (-74 points).
