Politecnico di Milano wins the final of the CFA Institute Research Challenge 2021 - Italy, the CFA Institute world finance competition, supported in our country by FactSet and Kaplan Schweser.
The final was held online on Monday, March 1, and involved ten universities, 47 students and over 30 professionals. Ten teams representing the following universities took part in the Italian competition, coordinated by CFA Society Italy: Università Cattolica, Politecnico di Milano, Ca’ Foscari di Venezia, Università di Roma Tor Vergata, Università di Firenze, Università di Bologna, Libera Università di Bolzano, Università Luiss Guido Carli, Università Politecnica delle Marche e Università di Napoli Federico II.
Riccardo Mellara, Davide Muffolini, Lorenzo Chiesa, Nicola Guidi and Andrea Baronchelli are the students that under the guidance of professor Laura Grassi and professor Marco Giorgino and the CFA mentor, Alberto Mari, presented their financial analysis on ERG to a jury of six experts in the financial sector: Emanuele Oggioni (Banca Akros), Dennis Montagna, CFA (Credit Suisse), Alberto Chiandetti, CFA (Fidelity International), Carla Scarano (Anima SGR), Luca Forlani, CFA (Eurizon Capital), Pinuccia Parini (Fondi e Sicav). The second and third places were awarded respectively to University of Naples Federico II and Luiss Guido Carli University.
Politecnico di Milano will proceed to the EMEA regional final (Europe, Middle East and Africa), which will be held on April 20. The world final will be held on April 22, comparing the winners of EMEA, America and Asia Pacific.
