At this event organised by CFA Society Italy and CAIA, investment professionals will discuss which challenges and opportunities lie ahead for the European financial markets and the evolution of the asset management industry.
We will also present the macro economic outlook for 2019 and the implications deriving from the ECB mastering TLTRO III's implementation and negative rates for longer.
There will be also a focus on the assessment of the investment process in selecting illiquid assets.

Annalisa Usardi has been with Amundi Asset Management (formerly Pioneer Investments) since 2002, covering the role of Economist since 2010. Her main role involves developing models and tools to support the asset allocation investment process with a special focus on macroeconomic analysis for the U.S. economy and Italy.
Annalisa participates in the development and articulation of the Global Economic Outlook for Amundi Asset Management, supporting decisions in the Macro Strategy Group and with Portfolio Managers on their investments strategies. She is also involved in advisory activity with institutional and third party clients.
Annalisa was an asset allocation analyst focusing on fixed income since 2009. Prior to this, she was an Institutional Portfolio Manager in Dublin specialising in multi-asset portfolios for institutional clients. She was also tasked with developing the advisory function for clients using multi-asset solutions. This involved ensuring a cohesive institutional business offering from institutional teams in our European offices based in Dublin, Vienna, Munich and Milan.
Previously she was a Financial Engineering Analyst with a tilt on fixed income (quant fixed income team), co-managing the portfolio collateral for the Pioneer Commodity Alpha fund.
At the beginning of her career, she was part of the Quant team. In this role, she was involved in the analytics and project management of the development of tools for asset allocation, portfolio construction and risk management, providing specific quantitative support to Chilean, Colombian and Peruvian pension funds.
Annalisa completed of her Masters degree in Applied Econometrics in the University of Pavia in 2002. She also gained her primary degree in Economics from the same university and was engaged as a tutor there during her studies. Annalisa is a CFA Charterholder and active member:

Giancarlo Sandrin is President of CFA Society Italy since 2016 and he is responsible for LGIM’s Italian Wholesale & Retail market. He joined LGIM in 2018 from BlackRock where he held the title of Head of Asset Manager Clients for iShares Italy and was responsible for developing the ETF business among the Italian wholesale market. Prior to that, he was part of HSBC investments covering the Italian wholesale market. Giancarlo graduated from Bocconi University in Economics and he is a CFA Charterholder.

Luca Anzola has more than 15 years of experience in the Alternative asset management industry and, during his career, worked from many leading players in the market. Presently, he is head of Fund Research and Alternative Investments for Fideuram Investimenti SGR where he oversees a team of 6 people focused on the review and selection process for third party funds. He’s also Adjunct Professor for the business school of Politecnico of Milan (MIP Polimi) covering courses and executive programs on financial risk management, portfolio management and financial markets. He’s Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) since 2007 and founder of the Italian Chapter for the CAIA Association of Milan. He’s graduated in Business Administration with specialization in Finance for Bocconi University of Milan and he has a PHD in Management and Industrial Engineering in Politecnico of Milan.
