Giuliano Palumbo

CFA - President - CFA Society Italy

Giuliano Palumbo is President of CFA Society Italy and he is responsible for the global fixed income strategies at Euromobiliare Asset Management. With over fifteen years of portfolio management experience, he previously worked in Arca SGR as Head of emerging markets desk. Prior to that, he was a Quantitative Analyst at Pioneer Investments in Dublin. Giuliano graduated in Economics from University of Naples and holds a Master in Economics and Finance. He was awarded with the Chartered Financial Analyst designation in 2009. He previously served as Treasurer and then as Secretary of the Board of Directors at CFA Society Italy.

Senior Adviser - Directorate General Monetary Policy - European Central Bank

Roberto Motto is Senior Adviser in the Directorate General Monetary Policy of the European Central Bank (ECB). He joined the ECB in 2000 and holds a PhD in Economics from the University of York. He has written on stochastic general equilibrium macro-modelling and monetary economics. He has published in the American Economic Review, the Journal of Monetary Economics, the Journal of Money, Credit and Banking, the Journal of Economic Dynamics and Control and contributed to several other publications. He has chaired several Eurosystem taskforces and expert groups on the impact of unconventional monetary policy measures.

Beatrice Mancini is Country Head & Head of Research Italy and Ticino for Citywire Italia. She holds a BA at the University of Essex and at the University of Bologna and an MA at the University of Westminster. She joined Citywire in 2011, at the head office in London, as Researcher, liaising with professionals within the fund and manager selection industry, in Italy, Ticino and The Netherlands. In 2014 she opened the Italian office, in Milan. Today she manages the business of Citywire Italia and continues also to follow personally and with great passion the professionals making up the fabric of the professional investment community in Italy and Ticino.

Annalisa Usardi is a Senior Economist at Amundi Institute. Annalisa has been covering macroeconomics since 2010 with a special focus on advanced economies, and contributes to Amundi’s Global Economic Outlook, supporting decisions in the Macro Strategy Group and for investment platforms. She is also involved in advisory activity with institutional and third-party clients. Annalisa joined Amundi in 2002. Prior to this, Annalisa was an Asset Allocation Analyst focusing on fixed income since 2009, and an Institutional Portfolio Manager in Dublin specialising in multi-asset portfolios for institutional clients. Previously she was a Financial Engineering Analyst co-managing the portfolio collateral for the Pioneer Commodity Alpha Fund. Annalisa holds a Master's degree in Applied Econometrics from the University of Pavia (2002). She is a CFA Charterholder and active member. In 2015 Annalisa contributed to the development of the CFA Society Index the CFA – Radiocor Financial Business Survey.

Scott Steele is a fixed income asset class lead at Capital Group. He has 35 years of industry experience and has been with Capital Group for one year. Prior to joining Capital, Scott worked as global head of fixed income client portfolio managers and before that, head of Asia distribution at Janus Henderson Investors. He holds a bachelor's degree in commerce from University of Toronto. He also holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation. Scott is based in London.

Head of Financials (Credit) - Federated Hermes Limited

Filippo joined in 2011 and is Head of Financials in the Credit team. He is responsible for researching global financials. Prior to this, he served in a similar capacity at Fortis Investments in the global credit and hybrids group and subsequently at BNP Paribas Asset Management in Paris. Other roles at Fortis included securitisation analyst and regulated utilities and property analyst. Filippo began his career in Germany at Sal Oppenheim & Cie and Berenberg Bank, where he was responsible for derivatives trading and M&A financing. Filippo holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics & Business Administration from the Universita’ La Sapienza in Rome.

Thomas Moore

CFA - Co-head Fixed Income Europe - Invesco

Thomas is co-Head of the Invesco Fixed Income team in Europe. He is responsible for the management of the investment team, as well as portfolio management, specializing in high yield credit. Thomas began his career in 1999 as a management consultant, with roles focused on US and international fixed income markets. In 2004 he joined Morgan Stanley where he held senior roles within the fixed income division, becoming head of European credit analytics in 2011. He joined the Henley-based Fixed Interest team at Invesco in 2016. Thomas is a graduate of Harvard and Oxford Universities; he holds an MBA from Columbia Business School. He is a CFA charterholder.

European Portfolio Coordinator – Multi-Managers Real Estate Italy - UBS AM

Matteo Serra is a European Portfolio Coordinator for Multi-Managers Real Estate Italy, a business which forms part of Real Estate and Private Markets within UBS Asset Management (UBS-AM). Matteo Joined in January 2023 from Poste Vita, one of the largest insurance companies in Italy, where he was Head of Alternative Investments in charge of a multibillion portfolio spread over Real Estate, Infrastructure, Private Debt, Private Equity and Hedge Funds. Before that, Matteo was Portfolio Manager for Real Estate Italy (RE-IT) within UBS Asset Management (UBSAM) where he managed pan-European AIF direct Funds. He joined UBS-AM's RE-IT business in March 2015 as part of the Business Management/Products for Real Estate Italy. In this role, Matteo focused on the set-up of the local platform as well as on the establishment of the new mandates. Matteo joined from Fabrica Immobiliare SGR SpA (2010–2015), a leading real estate asset management company, where he was Head of Risk Management. Matteo also held a seat on the Risk Committee. Previous roles there included Senior Financial Analyst in Planning and Strategy. Before that, Matteo worked as Corporate Finance Analyst for a financial boutique focusing on financial modelling, business plans, asset and portfolio valuations.
